Despite being underappreciated largely due to his team’s lack of playoff success, Dak Prescott is set to be a hot commodity if Dallas chooses to move on after this fall’s campaign.
After throwing for a remarkable 36 touchdowns and 4516 yards last season, the quarterback enters his final year under contract with the Cowboys.
But will the team resign him, and will they need to back up the Brinks truck to secure a long-term deal?
Nick Wright told Colin Cowherd that Prescott’s next deal, “whoever gives it to him, is going to be earth shattering.”
$60M a year incoming for Dak Prescott?

Wright expressed his belief that the Cowboys are not going to give their quarterback the extension many in the league believe he deserves.
He believes that Dallas will endure the season of speculation and reevaluate at year’s end.
Wright speculated that as an unrestricted free agent, Prescott will command a staggering $60 million per year on the open market.
No one will argue that the quarterback has not exceeded expectations since being a fourth-round draft choice in 2016 out of Mississippi State.
He was the Offensive Rookie of the Year after stepping in for an injured Tony Romo and has led the Cowboys to four NFC East titles.
What has eluded him, as well as every Dallas quarterback since Troy Aikman, is playoff success.
But there’s no question he is a talented signal caller, and a $60 million annual contract if and when he hits the NFL’s free agent market is certainly a strong possibility.
