After a couple of disappointing seasons, the Baltimore Ravens have been looking rather stout in 2023.
They hold the best record in the AFC at 10-3, and not only are they one of the best defensive teams in football, but surprisingly, they also rank sixth in total yards and fourth in points.
Baltimore seems to have a real shot at reaching the Super Bowl, and some even feel they’re the favorites to do so.
But while on his podcast “What’s Wright? with Nick Wright,” Nick Wright said that if the Ravens don’t win the AFC this year with a number of other contenders in the conference compromised, it would be hard to see them breaking through in the future.
“If the Ravens don’t win the AFC this year, then why would people think it’ll change moving forward? The Ravens are legit but they’re also, oddly, under maybe the most pressure of any of these AFC teams.”

Baltimore remained ahead of the pack with a thrilling overtime win on Sunday over the retooling Los Angeles Rams in which they tied their season high with 37 points.
Quarterback Lamar Jackson wasn’t efficient with his passing, but he did throw for 316 yards and three touchdowns while adding 70 more yards on the ground.
Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. led the way with four catches for 97 yards and a touchdown, and after a slow start to the season, he has picked things up over the last few games.
The Ravens’ big problem right now is the ankle injury that star tight end Mark Andrews suffered in Week 11, and it is possible he will be out for the rest of the season.
Without him, second-year tight end Isaiah Likely has stepped up, and Likely had five receptions for 83 yards and a touchdown against L.A.
