After departing Virtus Bologna and a brief stint with Baskonia, Nico Mannion has returned to Italy in the middle of the 2023-24 season. He has joined Pallacanestro Varese, signing a contract until 2025 with Luis Scola’s team.
Despite playing under both Joan Penarroya and Dusko Ivanovic at Baskonia, the former Golden State Warriors guard struggled to make an impact, averaging only 6.0 points, 1.2 rebounds, and 2.2 assists in the EuroLeague.
His performance was even more challenging in the ACB, where he managed just 2.0 points (15.8% from the two-point range and 12.0% from beyond the arc) along with 2.0 assists.
