Observing 30 Impeccable Ernie Els Golf Swings – A Sight of Beauty

WATCH: 30 Ernie Els swings of perfection - still a thing of beauty

Ernie Els swings

You can’t have any discussion about the smoothest golf swings without talking about ‘The Big Easy’ Ernie Els.

Els has just won his first senior Major and at the age of 54 still has an incredible swing.

He has been close to winning a senior Major a few times but says the competition is fierce.

“I mean, these guys are good, man,” Els said at the KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship in May, where he shared the lead heading to Sunday.

“I haven’t really fired on all my cylinders. I’ve been missing a couple – either the driving or putting or something, you know?”

The veteran takes his place in the Open Championship field at Royal Troon as a former champion right off the back of his big win in Ohio.

The oldest winner of the Open Championship is still Tom Morris Sr. (or Old Tom Morris) who was 46 years and 102 days old when he won in 1867. Rather incredibly, his son, Tom Morris Jr, is the youngest winner of the championship, he was 17 years and 156 days old when he won the 1868 Open Championship.
