Since head coach Mike McDaniel took over the Miami Dolphins’ sideline, the team has been built on the back of its speedsters, namely Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.

Hill and Waddle, plus Raheem Mostert and De’Von Achane, stretch defenses out in every direction which creates cleaner throwing windows for Tua Tagovailoa.

This offseason, Miami continued to double down on its speed identity as they selected Malik Washington in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft.

Aside from Washington, though, the Dolphins made another splash in free agency as they agreed to a one-year deal with Odell Beckham Jr.

Beckham spent the 2023 NFL season with the Baltimore Ravens but now goes to Miami where he’ll slot in nicely behind Hill and Waddle in the pass game.

The veteran wideout broke his silence after signing with the Dolphins and admitted that choosing the team was hard to pass up, via Safid Deen of USA Today.

“You can never go wrong with Miami, that’s for sure,” Beckham said.

Professional athletes typically love to spend their offseasons in Miami because of the weather and nightlife and it sounds like Beckham couldn’t help himself when it came to picking his options.

Although he’s far past his prime at this point of his career, Beckham can still be a serviceable target as he’s still got a knack for getting open and coming down with contested catches.

In a smaller role with the Dolphins, Beckham can immediately contribute and should play a huge part in the team’s run back to the postseason.
