Official Lineup: Man United vs Sheffield United – Eriksen makes debut, Rashford out of squad

Confirmed Man United XI vs Sheffield United: Christian Eriksen starts, Marcus Rashford not in squad - Man United News And Transfer News

Marcus Rashford has not recovered to make the Manchester United squad to face Sheffield United tonight.

The wing positions in the starting XI are taken by Alejandro Garnacho and Antony.

Elsewhere in the side, the defence is unchanged from the one that leaked three goals against Coventry City in the FA Cup.

Andre Onana is in goal.

Diogo Dalot, Harry Maguire, Casemiro, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka comprise the back four.

Raphael Varane, Lisandro Martinez, Victor Lindelof, Luke Shaw, Jonny Evans, Willy Kambwala, and Tyrell Malacia are all injured.

In midfield, Scott McTominay has recovered sufficiently from a knock to make the bench, but his starting position has been taken by Christian Eriksen.

He joins Kobbie Mainoo in the holding roles.

Mason Mount is missing through injury. Sofyan Amrabat has recovered sufficiently to make the bench.

Rasmus Hojlund continues up front.

Anthony Martial is also still injured, and with time running out on his contract it is becoming increasingly doubtful he will ever play for United again.

Joining McTominay and Amrabat on the bench are Altay Bayindir, Harry Amass, Louis Jackson, Habeeb Ogunneye, Amad, Omari Forson, and Ethan Wheatley.

Kick off at Old Trafford is at 8pm.
