Official Manchester United Lineup vs Brentford: Lisandro Martinez Deployed as Left Back, Jonny Evans Takes Centre Stage in Defence – Latest Updates on Team News and Transfer Activity

Video: Lisandro Martinez spotted apologising to Man United fans after loss to Tottenham Hotspur - Man United News And Transfer News

Despite all the injury scares since Manchester United’s last match against Aston Villa, in the end only Harry Maguire, Kobbie Mainoo and Mason Mount are missing completely from the squad that took part in that game.

The likes of Noussair Mazraoui, Manuel Ugarte, Alejandro Garnacho, Amad and Rasmus Hojlund are all available to face the Bees this afternoon.

Mazraoui is not risked at right back, however, meaning Diogo Dalot will revert there from left back as the ongoing absences of Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia continue.

Andre Onana is in goal.

Matthijs de Ligt comes in for Maguire and partners Jonny Evans in central defence, with Lisandro Martinez taking up the left back spot.

In midfield, the in-form Christian Eriksen is partnered by Casemiro.

The attack is unchanged from the one that drew a blank against Villa, with Alejandro Garnacho possibly on the right, Bruno Fernandes in the number 10, Marcus Rashford on the left and Rasmus Hojlund up front.

There are however unconfirmed reports that Rashford will play on the right wing and Garnacho on the left.

Academy star Jack Fletcher, son of Darren, is on the bench for the mid-table clash this afternoon. Academy striker Ethan Wheatley is also on the bench.

Today’s other subs are Altay Bayindir, Victor Lindelof, Mazraoui, Ugarte, Amad, Antony and Josh Zirkzee.

This means Toby Collyer misses out.

Kick off at Old Trafford is at 3pm.
