A 9-hole golf course located outside Youngstown, Ohio, recently garnered over $300,000 in an auction held on Thursday, leaving the future of the course uncertain.
Meander Golf Course in North Jackson, spanning 44 acres, was sold for $302,000 through Byce Auction. The potential options for the property include conversion into development or continued operation as a golf course.
The buyer will have a 45-day window to finalize the purchase, with the identity of the buyer not yet disclosed.
Additional assets of the business, such as its liquor license, golf carts, and maintenance equipment, may also be acquired by the highest bidder as an optional purchase.
The golf course, covering 43.9 acres, features nine holes, a 1,152-square-foot clubhouse, a newer 80×40 foot pole building, a parking lot, a putting green, and ponds. Established in 1968, the course is currently open for play.
With over 3,000 yards of play from the back tees, Meander Golf Course was designed by Mike Lanzino.
