Quick notes on the undefeated Ole Miss Rebels.

  • Big man Moussa Cisse was cleared by the NCAA in late November, as guard Brandon Murray still awaits his decision. Cisse has put up 3.3 PPG/3.3 RPG/2.0 BPG/1.0 SPG since returning (three games played/16.0 MPG).
  • Head coach Chris Beard told reporters a few months back that freshman center Cameron Barnes could possibly redshirt (via Sam Gillenwater/On3). I haven’t seen anything official still, but it seems like that’s what happened (zero games played).
  • Ole Miss is off to a 9-0 start thanks to the versatility of Allen Flanigan, Matthew Murrell, Jaylen Murray, TJ Caldwell, Jaemyn Brakefield, and Jamarion Sharp. Each player gets it done on both ends in their own way, which has made them a difficult matchup so far.
