The Carolina Panthers and their fans weren’t as excited about this year’s NFL Draft.
Trading for the No. 1 pick last season put them in a bit of a tough spot, and the franchise hasn’t exactly made the best choices lately.
They drew mockery and criticism when they hired Frank Reich to be their next head coach, and firing him mid-season only proved the doubters wrong.
Notably, team owner David Tepper has earned a bit of a bad reputation for being extremely hands-on, sometimes stepping on his employees’ toes, and being kind of impulsive in making decisions.
That’s why a local restaurant put up a sign urging him to let the GM and head coach make the picks this time, and he wasn’t having it.
As shown by WBTV News, Tepper actually went out of his way to enter the local business and confront the manager over that sign.

Needless to say, that’s not a good look for a billionaire business mogul and sports team owner.
Even if the Panthers were the most successful team in the league, which they clearly aren’t, going out of your way to get into that kind of altercation with a fan is just unacceptable.
It’s literally impossible to please everybody; there will always be some fans who aren’t happy with the direction the team has taken.
Hopefully, the next time this happens — and it will happen — Tepper will simply take the high road and live with the fact that not everyone likes the way he handles his business.
