Pat McAfee Names ‘Most Underrated ‘ Environment In NFL

The Baltimore Ravens proved time and time again to be the top team in the NFL this year and now they’ll host the AFC Championship Game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday with a spot in the Super Bowl on the line.

The game itself will be electrifying, but the environment that both teams will play in at M&T Bank Stadium will be among the most interesting because of the fans.

ESPN’s Pat McAfee, a former punter for the Indianapolis Colts, said on his talk show Monday that Baltimore is one of the most underrated places to play because of its fans.

“Baltimore is the most underrated environment in the entire NFL. It’s a blue-collar [expletive]-talking town,” McAfee said. “… If they’re doing well, that is going to be a tough place [for an opponent to play] – and Baltimore always has been.”

Most opponents would pick the home stadiums of the Seattle Seahawks or the Green Bay Packers or the Kansas City Chiefs as tough places to play, but McAfee’s experience in the NFL gives him some merit when it comes to his opinion on the Ravens’ turf.

The Ravens have looked unbeatable so far this season and proved how good they can be after taking down a Houston Texans team that put up 45 points in the wild card round.

Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs are a different beast though after playing in six consecutive conference title games, so the challenge is on for the Ravens’ home crowd with a spot in the Super Bowl at stake.
