Over the past three years, Pat Surtain II of the Denver Broncos has been considered one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL, with a bright future ahead if he can continue to be a force to be reckoned with in the secondary in the Mile High City.

Surtain has been the ideal defensive star for the Broncos as he’s played all 17 games for Denver the last two seasons while staying productive and keeping opposing offenses honest when it comes to whomever he’s covering downfield.

However, Surtain wasn’t all that happy about not being named an All-Pro at his position last season after getting his first All-Pro nod in 2022, which elevated him to elite status at corner in the NFL.

With Surtain being named a Pro Bowler but not an All-Pro for his efforts during the 2023 campaign, he has some added motivation heading into the 2024 NFL season, as he made clear on The Jim Rome Show recently via Around The NFL.

“I know I’ve got some work to do,” Surtain said.

The 2024 campaign will be an important one for the Broncos as it will be another transition period for the storied NFL franchise, with the team recently parting ways with veteran quarterback Russell Wilson in favor of giving rookie Bo Nix a shot at being the starter along with Jarrett Stidham and Zach Wilson.

With one-time Super Bowl champion head coach Sean Payton at the helm and the change at quarterback as well as a motivated star on defense, it will be interesting to see if the Broncos can right the ship next season and make some noise in the AFC.
