What more can be said about superstar Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes?
There is plenty, apparently, as this age of statistics produces yet more numbers that show the level of greatness that NFL fans are blessed to witness.
Last year’s Chiefs had arguably the worst offense since Mahomes became the starting quarterback, yet the team still claimed the Super Bowl championship.
Pundits are scrambling to find different ways to praise Mahomes, and a new number further shows the level of dominance he has achieved.
According to StatMuse NFL, Mahomes has the highest winning percentage against divisional opponents of any quarterback this century.
QBs with the highest WIN% against divisional opponents this century (min. 30 GP):
85.7% — Patrick Mahomes
80.4% — Tom Brady

His 85.7% success rate is substantially better than Tom Brady’s 80.4% and Dak Prescott’s 80.0%.
This is bad news for Denver, Las Vegas and the Los Angeles Chargers as these three clubs attempt to unseat the kings of the AFC West.
And while the division boasts an impressive level of coaching and the potential to dethrone the Chiefs, no one has stepped up and claimed the crown for themselves.
Until then, Mahomes remains the gold standard.
It’s his dynasty, that much is certain, as the team has captured three of the last five Lombardi Trophies as well as two in a row.
Now, even as the quarterback chases Tom Brady for the one statistic that means the most, Mahomes has the opportunity to accomplish something never before achieved in the glorious history of the NFL.
Three titles in a row.
Far from trivial numbers pulled from a statistical pile to prove greatness, another Super Bowl ring would strengthen his position alongside the greatest ever to play the game.
