After being the first team to win back-to-back titles since Tom Brady and Bill Belichick were able to do it with the New England Patriots, the Kansas City Chiefs have been aggressive during this NFL offseason in their attempt to repeat again next season.

Along with securing the future of legendary head coach Andy Reid, the Chiefs chose to show their appreciation for everything that superstar tight end Travis Kelce has done for the franchise over the years.

The team agreed to a contract extension with Kelce, making him the highest-paid tight end in the NFL and securing his future through the 2027 season.

With Kelce in the fold in Kansas City for the foreseeable future, no one was happier than fellow superstar and teammate Patrick Mahomes, who took to Twitter to congratulate his favorite target in the passing game.

“I told yall I’ll never let him leave!! Congrats my guy!” Mahomes tweeted.

Along with Kelce and Reid getting paid, the Chiefs have also been busy rounding out the roster in hopes of putting together a team that can pull off the three-peat and make NFL history next season.

The Chiefs added Carson Wentz to provide insurance at the quarterback position while also making the biggest upgrades to the receiving corps with the additions of Marquise Brown through NFL free agency and Xavier Worthy through the NFL Draft.

With Brown, Worthy, Rashee Rice, and Kelce, Mahomes has the weapons heading into next season to be dynamic in the passing game, which could be a game-changer for Kansas City and a scary sight for any opposing defense they face during the 2024 campaign.
