Aaronson was with the USMNT U-23 team as they played last night in an Olympic tune-up, but spent the back half of the 2023-24 season with Eredivisie side Vitesse. He scored 4 goals in 14 appearances for the Dutch club, who finished last in the table. Utrecht, which has fellow American Taylor Booth, finished seventh. The hope is that Aaronson will continue to develop there and have more chances to produce with a better team.
In heading to Utrecht, he remains in a league that he’s familiar with, and he has the continued support of Frankfurt with the contract extension. Bogert reported that Frankfurt believe that Paxten Aaronson has a bright future with the club and the extra time to develop will help with that.
