Paxten Aaronson had a successful loan spell in the Dutch Eredivisie last season and is now looking for another move this summer.
Aaronson recently finished his loan spell at Dutch club Vitesse Arnhem, and is now potentially joining the U.S. men’s national team for the Paris Olympics. After playing 14 games for Eintracht Frankfurt in the first half of the season, Aaronson was loaned to Vitesse in January to get more playing time.
Despite Vitesse’s relegation after an 18-point deduction, the 20-year-old midfielder was one of the team’s standout players, scoring four goals in 14 appearances.
Since his transfer from the Philadelphia Union, Aaronson has played a total of 22 games for Eintracht Frankfurt, with three assists. However, he has only managed to get 542 minutes of playing time, mainly coming off the bench in various competitions.
Although his future at Eintracht Frankfurt is secure in the long term, the club’s sporting director Markus Krosche has indicated that Aaronson will likely be loaned out again.
According to Frankfurter Rundschau, Krosche stated, “With Paxten Aaronson, we will find a solution where we will probably loan him out again.”
Aaronson is currently part of Marko Mitrovic’s Olympic squad for a friendly match against Japan on June 11, which serves as the final preparation game before the team heads to Paris for the Olympics.
