Chanettee Wannasaen Hits $1 Million Mark in Career Earnings After Dana Open Victory

Chanettee Wannasaen reached a significant milestone in her career as she crossed the $1 million mark in career earnings with a stellar victory at the Dana Open. The Thai player secured $262,500 for her impressive one-stroke win over Haeran Ryu from South Korea. With this win, the 20-year-old Wannasaen now boasts a total of $1,068,283 in career earnings.

Last year, Wannasaen made history by becoming only the third player in tour history to Monday qualify and then emerge victorious in the same week on the LPGA tour, achieving this feat at the Portland Classic. She joins the likes of Laurel Kean (2000 State Farm LPGA Classic) and Brooke Henderson (2015 Portland Classic) in this exclusive club.

At the Dana Open, Xiyu Lin, the top-ranked player in the field at No. 17, finished tied for fifth place. In another notable performance, Lexi Thompson concluded with a solid round of 67 to climb up the leaderboard and finish at T-19.

Here is the breakdown of the $1,750,000 purse, which is one of the smallest on the tour:

1 Chanettee Wannasaen -20 $262,500
2 Haeran Ryu -19 $159,008
