Pelicans Considering Trading Down in NBA Draft to Acquire Future Second-Round Picks

Pelicans Could Move Back In NBA Draft To Pick Up Future Seconds

The New Orleans Pelicans hold the 21st pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, but there is no guarantee they will keep it and make a selection in that spot.

There is a possibility that New Orleans could trade the pick to move down in the draft and acquire additional second-round picks. This would help balance out their draft assets moving forward.

The Pelicans have a surplus of first-round picks in the upcoming years, including their own picks as well as extra picks and swaps from the Los Angeles Lakers and Milwaukee Bucks.

On the other hand, the Pelicans are lacking in second-round picks. Currently, they only have a second-round pick in 2030, with all other day-two selections having been traded to other teams.
