Two-time Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova isn’t at the Championships this year. The 34-year-old former world No 2 has recently completed a more important mission: she’s given birth to a baby boy, named Petr.

34-year-old Kvitova, who last played in October of 2023, announced her pregnancy on New Year’s Day.

The 2011 and 2014 Wimbledon conquerer broke the news on social media, with fellow moms Angelique Kerber, Barbora Strycova and Belinda Bencic joining the comment section.

Another Wimbledon stalwart also announced that she has become a mom during Wimbledon. Former World No.18 Alison Riske-Amritraj, a former Wimbledon quarterfinalist, shared news of her baby girl, Calen Ann, who was born on July 5.

Riske, also 34, last played at Wimbledon last year.
