Philadelphia unveils statue of Allen Iverson

In a special ceremony hosted by the Philadelphia 76ers, a statue was unveiled in honor of the legendary player Allen Iverson on Sixers’ Legends Walk.

Touched by the gesture, Iverson expressed his deep gratitude and disbelief at the recognition he received. “This is such an incredible honor. It feels surreal,” he remarked, as reported by Noah Levick.

Known for his electrifying style of play, Iverson left a lasting impact during his time with the Sixers, achieving great success both on and off the court.

In 2001, he led the team to a memorable NBA Finals appearance, although they fell short against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Beyond his basketball achievements, Iverson became a cultural icon and source of inspiration for fans worldwide.

His MVP season in 2001 cemented his legacy as one of the all-time greats in Sixers history, securing his place among the franchise’s legends.
