Pistons Extend Ausar Thompson’s Contract by Exercising 25-26 Option

The Detroit Pistons have exercised the 2025-26 rookie scale team option for wing Ausar Thompson, along with center Jalen Duren and guards Jaden Ivey and Marcus Sasser. This decision marks the third-year option for both Thompson and Sasser, while Duren and Ivey are entering their fourth-year options.

Thompson, considered a key piece for the Pistons’ future, played both as a starter and coming off the bench last season. Duren and Ivey were consistent starters, with Sasser contributing significantly off the bench.
