The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins have signed forward Boris Katchouk to an American Hockey League contract for the 2024-25 season.

Katchouk enters his seventh pro season after spending the last three years primarily in the National Hockey League with Tampa Bay, Chicago and Ottawa. He had attended training camp this fall on a tryout with the Anaheim Ducks.

Last season, Katchouk collected seven goals and six assists in 59 games between the Blackhawks and Senators, as well as three goals and two assists in six AHL contests with the Rockford IceHogs.

A second-round choice by the Lightning in the 2016 NHL Draft, Katchouk has totaled 15 goals and 21 assists in 176 career NHL games.

The native of Waterloo, Ont., has skated in 173 games in the AHL with Rockford and Syracuse, registering 39 goals and 56 assists for 95 points. In his last full-time AHL action, he recorded 34 points and a plus-17 rating in just 29 games during the abbreviated 2020-21 season.
