The USMNT opened Copa América with a 2-0 win against Bolivia on home soil. Christian Pulisic opened the scoring with a sweet strike, assisted by Tim Weah on a clever corner kick routine. Pulisic set up Balogun for the second goal, in first-half stoppage time. The starters averaged 6.38, and the subs averaged 5.60.
Christian Pulisic was the obvious Man of the Match from fan voting, with Antonee Robinson the only other player above 7. Ricardo Pepi and Chris Richards were on the bottom end of voting.
As SSFC commenter Captain-Obvious said,
“If you just write in Pulisic as MOTM every time you will be right more than wrong.”
