Player of the Match: USA vs. Panama 2024 Friendly

USA vs. Panama, 2024 Friendly: Man of the Match

The Mauricio Pochettino era kicked off win a win on Saturday night as goals by Yunus Musah and Ricardo Pepi were enough for the USMNT to pick up the 2-0 win in Austin. It was a solid, if not overwhelming, start to the new regime and the community match ratings largely reflected that with the majority of players falling into the average, or slightly above average range of scores in the mid to high sixes to mid sevens with one notable exception from the starting lineup. Josh Sargent was the only starter to score below a six and received the second lowest score overall as he was unable to take advantage of the starting opportunity and had just nineteen touches and two shots. The attack primarily came down the left side and Christian Pulisic and Antonee Robinson received solid marks for their efforts. The new manager also received solid marks, his 7.51 was the second highest rating overall.

Ultimately it was Antonee Robinson who once again was named the SSFC Man of the Match finishing just ahead of Musah, Christian Pulisic and keeper Matt Turner.
