Potential Paris Saint-Germain transfer targets Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Rafael Leao considered if deal for Jadon Sancho falls through – Latest news from Manchester United

Zinedine Zidane, Jude Bellingham "recommend" Real Madrid to sign Jadon Sancho after Champions League heroics - Man United News And Transfer News

Paris Saint-Germain will reportedly turn to Khvicha Kvaratskhelia or Rafael Leao if they cannot sign Jadon Sancho from Manchester United, as they aim to fill the sizeable void left behind by Kylian Mbappe.

After spending the second half of last season on loan at Borussia Dortmund after falling out with Erik ten Hag, it seemed that Sancho’s future lay in Germany.

No move to the Bundesliga transpired and it was Serie A club Juventus who then looked like the most likely destination for the Englishman.

However, their targets seem to have switched recently to Dortmund’s Karim Adeyemi and Porto’s Wenderson Galeno.

The shock news of a rapprochement between Sancho and Ten Hag broke last week and the winger started in United’s most recent pre-season game against Glasgow Rangers with the manager describing him as “a good player” and that the club needs these type of players.

Nonetheless, the latest twist in the story arrived yesterday morning when news broke that Paris Saint-Germain were very interested in the 24 year old and were close to agreeing personal terms with him.

United and the Parisian club have been locked in negotiations for days over the future of Manuel Ugarte and it is reported that the Red Devils also have an interest in Xavi Simons.

It is thought that in these talks, Sancho’s name was discussed.

French outlet L’Equipe report that PSG do have other options to the United winger as they state the club “in parallel with the discussions for Sancho”, “continues to work on other avenues.”

These are the Georgian Khvicha Kvaratskhelia from Napoli and and the Portuguese Rafael Leao from AC Milan.

It must be stated that both these players would surely cost substantially more than the €40 million that United are reportedly said to be asking for Sancho.

PSG are also said to admire Bruno Fernandes but “the Portuguese midfielder is considered too expensive compared to the capital club’s plans this summer and he is not a priority.”

Sancho’s future at the club is still very much up in the air, as following Ten Hag’s words, he sees him as a valuable contributor to the squad.

The other side of the coin is that he is one of the few players who could potentially generate serious income and United must sell to buy additional players to the two they have already signed this summer, therefore such a sizeable source of income cannot be easily ignored.
