Manchester United are reportedly considering accepting Federico Chiesa in a swap deal for Mason Greenwood.
The future of the United academy product is one of the most hotly discussed transfer rumours of the summer with constant twists and turns.
Initially, it appeared that Spanish teams would be the frontrunners to sign Greenwood after his impressive loan spell with Getafe. However, recent reports suggest a potential move to Serie A.
Both Lazio and Juventus have been heavily linked to Greenwood, with reports from Italy indicating active efforts from both clubs to secure the 22-year-old.
However, no team has met Manchester United’s valuation of around £40 million for Greenwood.
Juventus is reportedly exploring more creative ways to meet United’s requirements, as they are unwilling to spend the requested €40-50 million.
United is looking for wide players due to the potential departures of Jadon Sancho and Mason Greenwood, considering Chiesa as an option who could be used as bait in a possible swap deal.
Chiesa, a right-footed winger, offers a different dynamic compared to United’s current wingers, with his style of play causing difficulties for defenders.
Previous reports have suggested Juventus considering Chiesa in a deal for Greenwood, adding to the renewed speculation.
Chiesa was previously linked to United in 2020 when he played for Fiorentina, and his addition would provide a unique skill set to the team.
