Potential Trade Destinations for Kevin Durant: Wolves, Heat, Knicks, Spurs, and Rockets in the Mix

Hollinger & Duncan: Top NBA Stars Poised for Team Changes by 2026

Several teams are expected to express interest in a Kevin Durant trade this offseason as the Phoenix Suns likely prepare for his departure. The Suns have faced disappointment over the past couple of seasons since adding Bradley Beal to their star core of Durant and Devin Booker.

In addition to the Golden State Warriors, who were among the most notable teams to pursue Durant at the trade deadline, other teams showing interest that may be more mutual include the Minnesota Timberwolves, Miami Heat, New York Knicks, San Antonio Spurs, and Houston Rockets, reports Shams Charania.

“Back at the NBA trade deadline in February, Minnesota, Miami, New York, San Antonio and Houston were among the teams with mutual interest in Durant,” said Charania. “I expect those teams and potentially others to be back in the fray this summer.”

Durant will be eligible for a two-year, $120 million extension this coming offseason. Currently on an expiring contract, Durant will have at least some control over the process.
