With the 2024 NFL season now officially underway, with the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs taking down the Baltimore Ravens in an AFC Championship Game rematch, the attention has turned to a weekend filled with NFL football.

There have been a lot of predictions made over the past few weeks about who will rise and fall during the 2024 campaign, along with which teams will end up in the conference championship games and, ultimately, Super Bowl LIX in February.

As usual, most of these predictions look a lot like last season’s playoffs, with many predicting the Chiefs to be a juggernaut again while aiming for a third straight Super Bowl title, and other heavyweights, like the Ravens, San Francisco 49ers and Detroit Lions being in the mix.

Kay Adams chimed in with her picks for the AFC Championship Game and chose to go with the Chiefs and the Cincinnati Bengals.

“They are on a collision course,” the host said on “Up & Adams.” “There’s only one person that could take it away from K.C., and it’s Cincinnati. And I see no reason to sort of doubt that it’ll happen.”

With the Chiefs looking like they didn’t miss a beat during the offseason and bringing in a key addition in rookie wide receiver Xavier Worthy, Kansas City is a safe bet to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl.

As for the Bengals, that’s a bold choice, considering that superstar wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase hasn’t secured a lucrative long-term contract extension yet, with only a few days left before they take on the New England Patriots.

However, it isn’t out of the realm of possibility that this predicted matchup takes place with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line if Cincinnati can live up to expectations with a healthy Joe Burrow under center and a happy Chase back on the field.
