Darwin Nunez’s Potential Premier League Return
Darwin Nunez, the former Liverpool striker, is reportedly being courted by Premier League teams once again.
As per TEAMtalk, both Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United have shown interest in the 26-year-old forward and have engaged in discussions with intermediaries regarding a possible transfer. Currently, Nunez is earning £400,000 weekly at Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia, raising questions about whether any English club would be willing to match that salary.
Additionally, Barcelona is also keeping an eye on Nunez.
A Significant Pay Cut for Nunez?
The Uruguayan may have to accept a considerable reduction in wages if he wishes to return to the Premier League. His playing time at Al-Hilal has diminished following the arrival of Karim Benzema. Nunez has found himself sidelined and is no longer a key player for the team. A move away from the Saudi club would likely benefit him.
It is uncertain if Nunez is prepared to make a comeback to the Premier League.
