Igor Tudor to Address Media Ahead of Liverpool Match
In a confirmation from Tottenham’s correspondent Alasdair Gold, interim coach Igor Tudor will hold the pre-match press conference on Friday, indicating he will lead the team during the crucial game at Anfield.
This development follows a disappointing 5-2 loss to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League, a result that has raised concerns among fans and analysts about Tudor’s ability to avert a potential relegation.
Gold shared an update on X, stating, “Spurs have confirmed that Igor Tudor is set to take his press conference on Friday afternoon at 1.30 pm ahead of the Liverpool match.”
Tudor Remains in Charge for Upcoming Fixture
Despite the discontent after the recent defeat in Madrid, the Tottenham management seems to be giving Tudor at least one more opportunity to prove himself.
Tudor’s brief time in charge has been challenging; he has yet to secure a victory since taking over from Thomas Frank just 25 days ago, with the team conceding 14 goals across four matches.
The heavy defeat at the Metropolitano Stadium was particularly damaging. Tudor faced criticism for starting Antonin Kinsky in place of regular goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, only to substitute the young keeper just 17 minutes into the match after he made two significant errors.
Despite Tudor’s explanation that the decision was aimed at protecting Kinsky, reports suggest that players are growing increasingly doubtful regarding his leadership.
Relegation Threat Looms Over Tottenham
Although Tudor is scheduled to speak to the press on Friday, his role remains highly uncertain.
Tottenham currently sits in 16th place, just one point above the relegation zone. With teams like Nottingham Forest and Wolves starting to gain momentum, the prospect of relegation, which hasn’t happened since 1977, is becoming a genuine fear.

Igor Tudor remains without a win since stepping into the interim role at Tottenham
The board, led by executive Vinai Venkatesham, is reportedly feeling significant pressure to make a decisive move before the international break.
If Spurs face another substantial loss against a Liverpool team vying for a top-four finish, there may be no alternative but to consider dismissing their second manager of the year.
Recently ousted Sean Dyche and former Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi are among the frontrunners being considered for the role should Tudor be relieved of his duties.
