Professional Basketball Coverage: Latest News, Scores, Statistics, In-Depth Analysis, and Standings

Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.
The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Zagreb: Dubrava (#8) and Cibona (#3). Cibona was defeated at home 79-94 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. It was a great shooting night for Dubrava especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Johnathan Hudson (180-1987, college: Texas A&M) who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Naturalized Swiss forward Toni Rocak (206-1999, college: USF) contributed with 21 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Dubrava’s coach Damir Miljkovic used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ivan Perasovic (200-2002) replied with 23 points and 8 rebounds for Cibona. Dubrava maintains eighth position with 14-19 record. Cibona lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the third place with 11 games lost.
Premijer Liga top team – Zadar (31-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed twelfth ranked Bosco (1-32) 92-50. Forward Krsevan Klarica (196-2003) had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Lovro Mazalin chipped in 12 points (perfect from the field making all six shots) during the contest. At the losing side center Ivan Njegovan (216-2004) responded with 9 points, 11 rebounds and 5 blocks. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Zadar have an impressive 15-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 31-2 record. Bosco lost twenty sixth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 32 lost games.
Other games in round 34 were not that significant. Skrljevo was beaten by Split on the road 97-84. Cedevita Jr. won against Alkar on its own court 91-80. Zabok was outscored by Dinamo in Zagreb 100-78. Dubrovnik managed to beat Sibenka at home 86-75. The most impressive performance of 34th round was 22 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals by Javon Levi of Dubrovnik.
