KK TFT Skopje (Prva Liga) strengthened their roster with the addition of 28-year old North Macedonian international 197cm swingman Adem Mekic, agency: 011 Sports for season 2024-25. Mekic played most recently at KK Zadar in Croatian Premijer Liga. In 40 games, he recorded 6.4ppg, 3.4rpg, 2.3apg, and 1.6spg last season, helping them win the league title. Mekic was voted League Player of the Week during that season. He also played 25 games in ABA League, averaging 1.5ppg, 1.3rpg, and 1.1apg.
The previous season (2022-23), he played at SCM winsed.swiss Mozzart Bet Timisoara in Romanian Liga Nationala. In 8 Romanian Liga Nationala games, he averaged 6.5ppg, 1.8rpg, 1.8apg, and 1.6spg. He also played 2 games in Alpe Adria Cup, averaging 10.0ppg, 2.0rpg, and 1.5spg. Additionally, he played for MZT Skopje in North Macedonian Prva Liga, averaging 7.1ppg, 3.2rpg, 2.1apg, and 1.1spg in 9 games. Mekic also played 9 games in ABA League, averaging 2.4ppg and 2.2rpg that season.
He represented North Macedonia at the Qualifications to European Championship (FIBA EuroBasket) in 2017, with stats of 1.3ppg in 4 games.
Mekic has previously played for four other North Macedonian teams: Pelister, KK Kumanovo 2009, Vardar, and Makedonija Mladi.
Among his many awards, he was selected to Eurobasket.com North Macedonian League All-Domestic Players Team in 2020.
