The most exciting game of round 12 in the BasketLigaen took place in Naestved. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of one of their biggest challengers Naestved (22-10) to second ranked Horsens IC (25-7) 90-87 in the game for the second place. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Naestved. Horsens IC looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Liam Sorensen (194-2000, college: Idaho St., agency: BIG) who scored 19 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. American forward Kahliel Spear (201-2000, college: RMU) chipped in 22 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Dutch forward Lagio Grantsaan (203-1997, college: Morgan St.) who recorded 21 points and 6 rebounds. Horsens IC maintains second position with 25-7 record having just twelve point less than leader Bakken. Naestved at the other side keeps the third place with ten games lost.
An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Aarhus. First ranked Bakken faced 4th ranked Svendborg. Host Bakken (28-4) smashed guests from Svendborg (19-13) 97-78. It was a good game for American forward DeAndre Pinckney (203-2000, college: Southern Miss) who led his team to a victory with 24 points and 9 rebounds. Skyler Bowlin contributed with 11 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Bakken’s coach Anders Sommer allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Ghanian-American Kevin Marfo (204-1997, college: Quinnipiac) replied with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds for Svendborg. Bakken have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 28-4 record. Svendborg at the other side keeps the fourth place with 13 games lost.
An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Horsens. Third ranked Naestved faced second-best Horsens IC. Guests from Naestved (22-10) defeated host Horsens IC (25-7) 98-90. Worth to mention a great performance of Jagan Mosely who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 6 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). The best for the losing side was Gage Davis with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. Naestved have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 22-10 record having just nine point less than leader Bakken. Loser Horsens IC keeps the second place with seven games lost.
