Konya BBSK (TBL) tabbed 25-year old 206cm center Ahmet Duran for new season. Duran played most recently at Bursaspor (BSL). BSL was a little too high level for him, where in 12 games he averaged just 1.1ppg and 1.6rpg last season. TB2L will be definitely a better match and he can see more playing time. He also played 3 games in Basketball Champions League, but he had only 0.7ppg and 2.0rpg.
The most of previous (2022-23) season he spent at Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul 2nd team (TBL). In 26 games he recorded 8.3ppg, 5.2rpg and 1.3apg in that year. Duran also spent pre-season at Fenerbahce (TBL).
He represented Turkey at the Albert Schweitzer International Tournament in Mannheim (Unofficial World Championships U18) eight years ago. His stats at that event were 7 games: 7.6ppg, 5.4rpg.
Duran has played previously for two other teams: Bakirkoy and Buyukcekmece.
Among many awards he won Turkish TB2L championship title in 2022. He was voted to Eurobasket.com Turkish TBL All-Newcomers Team back in 2019.
