Hapoel Migdal Haemek/Emek Izrael/Nazareth Elite (National League) signed 29-year old American forward De’Sean Parsons (201cm-98kg-1995, college: Portland State) for upcoming 2024-25 season. Parsons joins another USA player Kevin Bracy-Davis who is already in the roster.
He played this summer at Goldfields Giants in Australian NBL One. In 24 games just recently he had very impressive stats: 24.7ppg, 10.5rpg, 5.0apg and 2.3spg. He was also named League Player of the Week.
Part of last season he spent at Haukar in Icelandic Subway League where in 10 games he recorded 13.5ppg, 9.8rpg, 2.8apg and 1.8spg. He also spent pre-season at BC Vienna (BSL) in Austrian league.
Parsons is quite experienced player. He has played in seven different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America). Parsons has played previously professionally in Finland (Bisons), Hungary (Kaposvari), Russia (Uralmash), Slovakia (Iskra Svit), Israel (Next Urban Maccabi Haifa and Elitzur Maccabi Netanya), Armenia (Aragats) and Vietnam (Wings).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his team made it to the Slovakian League Semifinals in 2021. He was also voted Eurobasket.com All-Israeli National League Defensive Player of the Year in 2022.
Parsons graduated from Portland State in 2017 and it will be his eighth season as a professional player. He played also for Salt Lake Community College for one year.
