Manisa Buyuksehir Belediye Spor (BSL) tabbed 31-year old 192cm point guard Yunus Sonsirma for new season. Sonsirma played most recently at Petkim. In 27 BSL games he averaged 8.3ppg, 2.9rpg and 3.7apg last season.
His team made it to the League Semifinals in 2014 and 2021.
The previous (2022-23) season he played at Bahcesehir where in 9 BSL games he had just 2.1ppg, 1.2rpg and 1.2apg in that year. He also played 5 games in Basketball Champions League where he recorded only 1.4ppg, 1.0rpg and 1.6apg in that year. The other team he played that season for was Galatasaray. In 16 BSL games he got 3.6ppg, 1.9rpg and 1.6apg in that year. Sonsirma also played 7 games in Basketball Champions League where he got only 2.1ppg, 1.6rpg and 2.0apg in that year. Another team he played shortly was Galatasaray (U19 League). In only one game he got 6 points, 3 rebounds and 4 blocks in that year.
He has played previously for four other teams: Pinar Karsiyaka, Darussafaka Lassa, Turk Telekom and Eskisehir.
Among many awards he was voted to Eurobasket.com Turkish TBL All-Domestic Players Team back in 2017. His team made it to the League Semifinals in 2014 and 2021.
