The Regular Season in Division B1 just started. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.
The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Youth Stars in Morfou on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Digenis AM 62-52. Digenis AM is looking forward to face Phoenix MJ in Limassol in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Youth Stars’ supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Nicosia ENAD.
Very significant was Asteras’ just 3-point road victory against ENAD. ENAD was very close to get their first win. But it seems they have to wait a little bit longer. Asteras will play against PAEEK in Nicosia in the next round. ENAD’s supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Nicosia to the arena Youth Stars.
Quite upsetting was APOP‘s home defeat in a game versus Agiou Nikolaou 82-70. Agiou Nikolaou will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. APOP will play against Atlantas in Paphos and hope to win that game and get promotion back to the OPAP Basket League just one year after relegation.
In the last two games of round 1 winless Ol.Aglantzias lost to undefeated PAEEK on the opponent’s court 44-61. Winless Ethniki lost to undefeated Atlantas in a home game 71-82.

PAEEK used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Nicosia 61-44 on Sunday night. PAEEK will meet Asteras in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Ol.Aglantzias will play against Ethniki and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
