Hapoel Shoval Haifa (Winner League) signed experienced 34-year old Austrian-American ex-international swingman Sylven Landesberg (198cm-1990, college: Virginia) for upcoming 2024-25 season. Landesberg played last season at Gran Canaria in Spanish Liga Endesa. In 32 games he had 6.2ppg and 1.1rpg. He also played 18 games in Eurocup where he recorded 8.8ppg and 1.6rpg.
His team won Israeli Cup in 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2017. Landesberg was voted to Eurobasket.com Israeli League All-Domestic Players Team back in 2011 and 2015.
The previous (2022-23) season he played at Heroes in Chinese CBA. In 31 games he averaged impressive 16.3ppg, 4.4rpg, 2.7apg and 1.2spg in that year.
He has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2012.
Landesberg also represented Austria at the European Championships (FIBA EuroBasket) 2021 Pre-Qualifiers five years ago. His stats at that event were 3 games: Score-1(31.7ppg), 8.0rpg, 4.3apg, FGP: 65.5%, 3PT: 28.0%, FT: 81.8%.
He is quite experienced player. Landesberg has played in four different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America).
