The Major League Baseball postseason is heating up as only four teams remain with a chance to win the World Series.

In the National League Championship Series, the Los Angeles Dodgers held a 2-1 lead over the New York Mets entering Game 4, while the New York Yankees held a 2-0 lead over the Cleveland Guardians entering Game 3 of the American League Championship Series.

Yankees slugger Juan Soto is doing all he can to help the franchise win its 28th World Series title, but after the season is over, all eyes will be on him as a free agent.

MLB Network analyst Jon Heyman recently gave his thoughts on how much Soto’s new contract will be worth.

“I think $600 million at this point is probably the number,” Heyman said, via B/R Walk-Off.

Soto is only 25 years old and is playing for his third MLB team.

He debuted in 2018 with the Washington Nationals, then went to the San Diego Padres in 2022 and joined the Yankees in a trade prior to this season.

Soto is playing on a contract worth $31 million this season.

There have been many teams rumored to be in the Soto sweepstakes, including the Yankees and the Mets.

Heyman appears to believe he will sign for a huge number in the offseason but doesn’t give his thoughts on how long that deal would be for or where it will be.

Once the excitement of the postseason concludes, all eyes will be on Soto to see what decision he makes heading into the 2025 season.
