The withdrawal comes after Raducanu pulled out of scheduled Tuesday night exhibition vs. former world No. 1 Naomi Osaka on Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne. Four-time Grand Slam champion Osaka also withdrew.

The 21-year-old Raducanu underwent ankle surgery and surgeries to both wrists last May.
Playing her first Tour-level match in eight months, Raducanu squeezed past Elena-Gabriela Ruse 6-3, 4-6, 7-5 in her ASB Classic opener. Raducanu was in a winning position against Elina Svitolina in her second-round match, but could not close falling to the second seed 7-6(5), 6-7(3), 1-6.
Raducanu has been practicing on site at Melbourne Park ahead of the Australian Open.
