Raheem Sterling Experiences Another Break-in at Home
Raheem Sterling, the former England international footballer, has fallen victim to a break-in at his residence in Berkshire. The incident occurred around 6:30 PM GMT on Saturday while the 30-year-old was at home with his family, according to initial reports from the Telegraph. Fortunately, the intruders were startled and managed to escape without stealing anything.
A representative for Sterling stated, “We can confirm that Raheem Sterling was the victim of a home break-in this weekend. His children were present at the time. Although this is a serious violation of privacy and safety, we’re relieved to share that he and his family are safe. We request that his privacy be respected during this challenging time.”
This is not the first time Sterling has encountered such a situation; his previous home in Surrey was targeted by burglars in 2022, leading him to return early from the England World Cup training camp. That break-in occurred in Oxshott, Leatherhead, and was reported to the police on December 3, 2022, during the World Cup in Qatar. At that time, valuable items including jewelry and watches, amounting to around £300,000, were reported stolen.
