The Houston Texans have been through a whirlwind of emotions over the past few years. After making the playoffs in 2018 and 2019, they fell off a cliff in 2020, winning just four games. They have turned things around since then, but the team was seemingly in a bad place in 2020, specifically.
Randall Cobb recently appeared on “Bussin’ With The Boys,” where he was asked about his time with the Texans, particularly about his encounters with Bill O’Brien. He initially didn’t want to answer this question, but after taking some time to compose himself, he did give an honest opinion. After some careful thought, he said, “I think it was just a whirlwind of bad.”

Fans could tell that Cobb was holding back from saying more of what he really thought, but he wanted to be respectful, even though he had a poor experience with O’Brien and the Texans.
The Texans did have some initial success when O’Brien took over as head coach, making the playoffs several times during his tenure. However, when he became the GM while also being the coach, things didn’t seem to click in the way the front office wanted him to. Whether it was due to player complaints, his performance, or a combination of reasons, O’Brien was let go after four games in the 2020 season.
The Texans have now moved on, and are seemingly thriving after O’Brien’s tenure with the team. C.J. Stroud is a breath of fresh air for the organization, and now that they have built their roster the way they wanted, the Texans should be a force to be reckoned with in the AFC for the foreseeable future.
