Golf enthusiasts who appreciate the fine arts are encouraged to mark their calendars for an upcoming exhibition showcasing oil paintings of golf course landscapes in London this June.
Renowned Chinese artist, Hudson Shaoxia Zhang, has combined his passion for golf with his expertise as a professor of art history to create a stunning collection of paintings. Over the last six years, Zhang has dedicated himself to capturing the unique landscapes of golf courses around the world through his drawings and paintings.
Through Zhang’s unique artistic perspective, visitors to the exhibition will be transported to renowned golf courses such as China’s Jade Dragon Snow Mountain Golf Club, California’s Cypress Point Club, New Jersey’s Pine Valley Golf Club, and the Forest of Arden in Warwickshire.
As a professor of art history, Zhang’s plein air scenes evoke historical landscape paintings similar to the works of artists like Jean-Baptiste Corot and David Hockney. Ultimately, Zhang’s paintings of golf course landscapes are vibrant, diverse, and created with a deep sense of passion.
The Hudson Shaoxia Zhang Solo Exhibition will take place at The Beveridge Hall, Senate House, University of London, with a press preview on June 13 and public viewing on June 14-15.
