Reporter reveals what Jurgen Klopp did after storming out of interview

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp stormed out of an interview after his team’s dramatic FA Cup defeat against rivals Manchester United.

The German manager was not in the best of moods after losing a nail-biting encounter against bitter rivals Man United.

The Merseyside club took the lead twice in the match and they were on the verge of winning the match but late brilliance from the Red Devils knocked them out of the cup and broke Klopp’s dream of winning the quadruple in his last season at Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp stormed out of a post-match interview

After being asked about the lack of intensity from his side in extra-time, Klopp said, before walking off: “Come on! You are obviously not in a great shape. I don’t have the nerve for this.”

Jurgen Klopp stormed out of an interview.

The person posing the questions, Niels Christian Frederiksen, told Tipsbladet that even after the cameras stopped, tensions remained high.

“I was very surprised by it, and those standing around were scared, and they were almost pressed up against the wall like: ‘wow, what the hell just happened here?’ It continued after what was seen on TV. He continued down the hallway, where he yelled and screamed at me. I also followed him because I thought it was something strange. I was very surprised, while some looked very shocked, and they asked: ‘Are you okay?’ and of course I’m okay. I have interviewed Jurgen many times.

“I interpret it mostly as an expression of his terrible frustration that they lost to Manchester United in the manner it happened, where they were ahead twice and should have sealed the deal. His dream scenario was to play an FA Cup final at Wembley in his last match in England, and that’s been taken from him now. So I can understand he’s super frustrated.”

Losing to Man United in such a manner will haunt Jurgen Klopp

Klopp’s reaction has been really surprising but it feels like the defeat against Man United has genuinely upset him. It was the manner of the defeat that Klopp didn’t like.

The Liverpool manager felt that his team should have finished off the game when they had the chance.

Jurgen Klopp did not take the defeat against Man United too well.

Had Liverpool beaten Man United and gone to the next round of the FA Cup, they would have avoided Manchester City and Chelsea and gotten a favourable semifinal against Championship side Coventry.

The Reds missed a number of chances to finish off the game and when they were leading, they showed a sense of comfort which became the cause of their decline in the all important match.

Liverpool will have the chance to take revenge soon when they visit Old Trafford again in their Premier League clash next month.
