Retired Player Shares Optimistic Outlook for Dak Prescott’s Future with the Cowboys

Former Player Has A Strong Belief About Dak Prescott's Future With Cowboys

Is Dak Prescott the guy in Dallas for the foreseeable future?

Looking at the stats, they would tell most people yes.

However, former Pro Bowl receiver and Super Bowl winner Greg Jennings does not believe so.

He recently appeared on The Carton Show to talk about Prescott’s future with the Cowboys.

“They fall short in the postseason. This is why I don’t believe that they are truly going to extend him,” Jennings said.

The Cowboys are just 2-5 in the playoffs with Prescott as their starter.

He is a very good regular season quarterback.

He is coming off his best career season in many respects, especially in touchdown passes (36) and completions (410).

However, after three consecutive 12-win seasons, Dallas has just one playoff win.

That is not going to get it done when the owner is Jerry Jones.

Players are paid to get it done when it matters most.

Prescott has not done that.

So, if he doesn’t take the Cowboys to the NFC Championship Game at the very least this year, it might be time for him to pack his bags and hit the road.

This is not a Mike McCarthy issue.

It is a Dak Prescott issue.

All of his numbers and averages drop when the postseason starts.

His passer rating, his efficiency, his touchdown-interception ratio, etc. all decrease.

The former fourth-round pick out of Mississippi State needs to find an answer this year if he wants to stay a Cowboy.
