The Arizona Cardinals have had great luck with running backs over the years.

They have seemed to draft and sign great running backs for their roster, which has helped them find success throughout their history.

One of those running backs was David Johnson, who was a top back in the league for several seasons.

He hasn’t played with the Cardinals since the 2019 season, but it appears that he’s looking for another shot with his original club.

Johnson recently appeared on the Up & Adams Show, where he told Kay Adams his intentions moving forward.

“That’s my goal, to finish my career where it started, as a Cardinal,” Johnson said.

Despite not playing in the NFL during the 2022 season, Johnson wants another chance to join the Cardinals.

Even if it’s just for a few games, it appears that Johnson wants to retire as a member of the Cardinals, ending his career where it started.

It will be interesting to see how the Cardinals will respond to this, and if they will sign him to a one-year contract to honor his wishes.

The Cardinals do employ a few solid running backs at the moment, including James Conner and Michael Carter.

They might not have much room on their roster for Johnson, even though he is a legendary player for the organization.

Given the fact that he didn’t play for an NFL roster in 2023, Johnson’s price tag would be relatively inexpensive, which could help his case when pitching this idea to the Cardinals ahead of the 2024 NFL season.
