Rex Ryan Advises Against Underestimating Seasoned Quarterback

The New York Jets find themselves finally hitting a groove during the 2024 NFL season as they managed to put up back-to-back wins over the New England Patriots and Tennessee Titans.

The Jets defense has been the backbone for the team as they’ve done a great job of stifling opposing offenses, but the offense is also finding its footing.

Breece Hall has dominated the touches in the backfield, though he’s got a great complement in rookie running back Braelon Allen.

However, the team has also started to see vintage Aaron Rodgers who is getting more and more comfortable throwing the football and creating plays with his legs.

As the oldest player in the league, Rodgers has been able to hold up well so far and seems to be more confident each and every week.

Former NFL head coach Rex Ryan noted that Rodgers has earned the benefit of the doubt and looks impressive on the field via NFL on ESPN.

“I don’t think people get it. Aaron Rodgers is moving like he’s thirty years old,” Ryan said.

As quarterbacks get older, it’s easy to wonder how much they have left in the tank as the arm strength and athleticism decline as the years go by.

However, Rodgers looks to be trying his best to defy Father Time given that he looks spry and agile for his age.

The Jets’ recipe for success is to run the football and play good defense, but having a healthy Rodgers would go a long way in getting back to the playoffs.
