Brock Purdy and the San Francisco 49ers are in the Super Bowl.

This was his first full season as a starter, and despite all the criticism, he still managed to lead his team to the big game.

One could argue that his team is stacked, and he didn’t need to do much during the regular season to make the playoffs; that could be valid.

Then again, he’s now led back-to-back comebacks in the playoffs, and it’s mostly been on him.

That’s why Richard Sherman took to Undisputed to all out Keyshawn Johnson, Skip Bayless, and all people criticizing Purdy.

“I told you guys from the beginning, Brock Purdy is legitimate!” Sherman said.

The former Super Bowl champion stated that Purdy has played as well as any other quarterback in the league, making plays with his feet when the pocket collapses and getting everybody involved in the offense.

Sherman also gave Steve Wilks and the Niners’ defense a lot of credit for the adjustments they made in the second half, stating that they had been ‘bullied’ and manhandled by the Lions’ offensive line early in the game.

Purdy deserves all the credit in the world for what he’s done so far.

He also played a big part in the fact that his team was down 17 points to begin with, but just like what all great players do, he got back on track and rose to the occasion when it mattered the most.
