The New York Giants are in a bit of a tough spot right now.
They have a pressing need for a quarterback, but they’re not likely to get a top-tier guy at No. 6.
And with the Minnesota Vikings reportedly being uber-aggressive to trade into the top five, they might not be able to outbid them.
Even so, former NFL QB Robert Griffin III believes they could still have a perfect draft.
Michael Penix Jr. is worthy of a top 10 pick. His tape is as good or better than any of the top QBs in this draft. The dream scenario for the @Giants would be to draft Malik Nabers at #6 and draft Penix in the second round if he falls there.

Talking on the latest edition of his podcast, he made a case for them to get LSU star WR Malik Nabers with their first-round pick.
Still, he pointed out that Nabers acknowledged that they don’t have a good quarterback situation right now, as they’re stuck with Daniel Jones for at least another year.
Then again, the Giants could be lucky enough to see Michael Penix Jr. fall right into their laps in the second round.
Griffin argues that there’s no way that Penix should fall that much, as the tape suggests he’s as good as Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, Bo Nix, or Jayden Daniels, and he might even be better in some aspects.
Penix is perhaps the best pure passer in this class.
Still, his history of injuries and his age could scare away multiple times, and if that happens, the Giants would be wise to take a risk and make sure he doesn’t get past them in the second round.
