Robert Griffin III selects ideal landing spot for Brandon Aiyuk

Robert Griffin III Names Best Landing Spot For Brandon Aiyuk

San Francisco wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk surprised few if any on Tuesday when he demanded a trade from the Super Bowl contenders.

After all, he and team officials are at a stalemate over his request for a new contract, and Aiyuk has been open in his belief that the 49ers are not sufficiently interested in keeping his services.

So, where will he land if the team gives in to his trade demand?

Former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III believes his old stomping grounds would be a great destination for Aiyuk.

On Tuesday, he cited the Washington Commanders as a possibility for the disgruntled wide receiver and listed several talented players already on the roster who would greatly complement Aiyuk’s impressive skills.

One of the key reasons Griffin believes Aiyuk could land in the nation’s capital is talented rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels.

Washington knew they were drafting an incredibly gifted – though often injured – team leader when they drafted the Heisman Trophy winner out of LSU in April.

Aiyuk has been connected to Daniels in recent weeks in a sign that he agrees with Griffin’s assessment.

Whether the Commanders are willing to make such a deal is unknown, but it would be wise to surround their rookie quarterback with as much talent as possible to enable him to succeed.

Aiyuk is one of many stars in San Francisco, and the team quite possibly cannot afford to pay them all and stay under the NFL’s salary cap.

If he is traded, Washington would indeed be an intriguing destination.
